Lenard Rivera, age 57, departed our world on Saturday October 9th, 2021 from a short battle with stage 4 brain cancer. He was born in El Paso, TX to Javier Arturo Rivera and Magdalena Harris on February 16, 1964.
He leaves behind his only beloved daughter Yvette Pingenot as well as her husband Edward Pingenot.
He also leaves 6 siblings: Linda A Rivera sister,
Luis A. Rivera brother, Leo A. Rivera brother, Avelina Rivera sister, Alicia Rivera sister, and Adrianna Martinez sister. As well as many nieces and nephews, and countless life long friends.
Lenard holds a legacy of great joy and a unmatched sense of humor that got both him & those who were lucky enough to know him through many hard times. From childhood to his passing he had a deep appreciation of music which he passed to his friends & family. He loved dancing and performing as a thespian at Brazoswood High School. As an adult his greatest joys were being an outstanding father to his daughter, spending time with his family, and a prayer he wrote that got him and many others through rough times.
We are blessed to have loved & been loved by Lenard Rivera and we are grateful he is no longer in pain. While our hearts are profoundly heavy in his absence and we would have loved more time with the light that was Lenard, he gave us enough laughs & genuine love to last us until we meet again in heaven.
If you would like to read his prayer, you can do so at www.aprayerforme.net. He took great pride in knowing a prayer that helped him could help others as well.
Services will be held privately though you may reach out to family for details.
